Default More Demolition TV...

Hi All,

I am new to the forum - I work for a televsion company and we are looking at making a few films about demolitions, specifically implosions, this year.

I am trying to compile a list of the best demolitions that will happen in the US and Canada this year and early next - but I would really like to know what you think is going to be 'the best' demolition. Which would you like to see a programme made about? If you could suggest anything and let me know when you think it is going to happen, that would be great!

Also, does anybody know of any demolitions that have gone wrong in the past? what happened?

looking forward to your replies!

Alex

Hi Alex,

I work with Applied Science International www.appliedscienceint.com and we create demolition simulations for the industry and for television shows like yours. So I also seek the "high profile" demolitions you're talking about. The direction I would point you would be New York. With up coming demo's of Shea, NJ Devils, and Yankee Stadiums and then theres Madison Square Garden... let me know what you find out!

Alex,

Thanks for joining the forum.

We have been contacted by a couple of different media outlets in regards to some demolition projects across North America. I will stick this thread at the top of the Industry News section for a higher profile.

If you could, can you please send me, via e-mail or private message, some information about you and your media company and what time frame and locations your’e looking for?

Thanks,

James

The Sands implosion looks like it will be one of the more spectacular implosions this year.Looks like it could be three building with Vegas style pyrotechnics and lighting.

Default more demolition TV...

thanks 1pyro and Simulateit - these are the type of things I am looking for - although it seems the New York ones might happen outside of the timeframe we are looking at.

Please keep them coming in!

Also, who are the big demolition companies in the US and Canada?

Thanks,

Alex

The biggest explosives demolition companies are in Europe, specifically the UK and Germany.

Default demoltion TV

Thanks for the emails guys.

We are also interested in any bridges, dams and churches being demolished - better if imploded!

Any ideas?

Alex
