I found this press release.

Press Releases
Dec. 16, 2006

East Hills High Rise Implosion

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) will implode the 14-story, 157-unit East Hills High Rise on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. A program hosted by HACP officials and Mayor Luke Ravenstahl will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Members of the media are cordially invited to document the event.

East Hills High Rise was constructed by the HACP in 1972. The building has been vacant since October 2003, at which time the majority of the building’s former residents were relocated to the newly opened Silver Lake Commons.

The building is located at 2360 Bracey Drive, Pittsburgh, PA. During the implosion and pre-implosion activities a viewing area will be set-up in the parking lot of Petra Ministries, 235 East Gate Drive, which is adjacent to the high rise.

For more information, contact Michelle Jackson-Washington in the Department of Community Affairs at 412-456-5058.

The second time was the charm for crews trying to bring down a 14-story high rise in the East Hills this afternoon.

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh imploded the 157-unit East Hills High Rise at around 2:30 p.m. but not all of it fell.

Crew imploded that remaining section around 5:15 p.m.

If the implosion guy says it's not going to come down prior to pushing the button then it is considered a success.
