Abu Dhabi Implosion

There is a big implosion in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. My friend e-mailed me this article. There are something like 50 or 60 buildings which are going to be imploded there in the next year. Most of them are fairly new but the land under them is worth so much that it is more cost effective to demolish them and start over with something taller.

That's probably a pretty good gig because Abu Dhabi is great place.

Within several blocks of this site they are building a 83, 108,74, and 77 story buildings. They are also breaking ground on a building that is supposed to be 2,250 feet tall.

Not sure what frame rate the photos were taken, but the charge sequence looks strange. I sure would like to see the video.
