Scheduled demolition of Galveston Causeway canceled

The demolition of the Galveston Causeway scheduled for Sunday morning was canceled to due the area was too damp and there was too much static electricity in the air.

Crews performed a test blast on the causeway several weeks ago, and there's no word yet on when the demolition will be rescheduled.

I have not heard anything yet, but they have been pretty quite about it. We will post as soon as we hear something.
