Default Feds Charge Asbestos Removal Firm
A Big Flats asbestos removal company has been charged with violating federal Environmental Protection Agency health and safety laws.

In an indictment filed Oct. 13 by the Syracuse District of the U.S. Attorney's Office, Lambert Asbestos Removal Service Inc., at 68 Kahler Road South, is charged with failing to notify the EPA about asbestos removal work and completing the projects illegally.

The company also is charged with conspiring to violate the Clean Air and Clean Water acts and committing mail fraud, Assistant U.S. Attorney Craig Benedict said.
