you can get asbestos exposure standing on a street corner, from brake dust ! I am around it and if you know you are in a area with friable asbestos then protect your self with a full face resparator.it is in products still today,... they cant be produce here in the U.S, that I know of ,but most drywall compounds that come out of canada and other countries contain 2 % to 5% asbestos.I tore down a building last week that was built in 2003, all the drywall and floor mastic had asbestos! so go figure!
