Most of the fuel burned on my operation is off-road. What I have been considering is backing the fuel costs out of the O/O cost of the machine(s) for the job and adding fuel as "cost-plus". I don't know how this would fly - an thoughts?

I think just issuing a fuel surcharge would be easier to get across, although it may depend on the specific client. I think most people are used to seeing the occaisional surcharge these days.
