PGE and the Oregon Dept of Fish and Wildlife spent thousands of dollars in order to prevent the local pair of peregrine falcons from returning to nest.

Fish and Wildlife had four spotters at the implosion, each of which had full authority to halt the countdown.

As luck would have it, the pair did not show up that day. Hopefully the UK contractor will have the same luck.
