Default Versatile Cut-Off Saws from Atlas Copco

Ideal for a variety of demanding applications, Atlas Copco’s hydraulic-powered cut-off saws cut through a wide range of materials, including concrete, asphalt, cement, brick and steel.

The 14-inch blade on the LS 14 provides a cutting depth of 5.3 inches, while the 16-inch LS 16 offers a cutting depth of 6.3 inches. The saws’ simple direct-drive design provides consistent speed and torque and reduces maintenance requirements, particularly when compared with belt-driven saws. Because the power source can be positioned as much as 75 feet away, the operator can work safely in confined areas without requiring additional ventilation.

An open cutting face and adjustable blade guard, as well as a lightweight, well-balanced and compact design, make the cut-off saws easy to operate. The saws are versatile enough to use in a variety of demanding applications, including underwater repairs, demolition work and utility maintenance jobs.

A wide range of hydraulic power packs is available to efficiently power the LS 14 and LS 16. These units feature a power-on-demand system that automatically decreases the pack’s engine speed when the tool is disengaged, reducing fuel consumption and extending the life of the power pack. Equipped with wheels and handles, a power pack can be easily moved around a job site to increase the saw’s flexibility. Both the saws and power packs are small enough to transport by pickup truck and store on a shelf when not in use.

Standard features include a hose to deliver water to a diamond blade for wet cutting and a 6.6-foot hydraulic twin whip hose with flat-face, quick-release couplings for easy connection to the power pack hose or to an extension hose. An optional oil flow divider and extension hoses are available for running the saws off hydraulic-powered carriers.

A lightweight, easy-to-use cart is also available for use with the cut-off saws. The cart, complete with built-in water container, expands the saws’ range of capabilities to include floor, road, sidewalk and other light surface cutting applications that are not typically suitable for handheld equipment.

The LS 14 and LS 16 were added to Atlas Copco Construction Tools’ product line through the 2005 acquisition of Lifton, a leading manufacturer of hydraulic handheld breakers, power packs, cut-off saws, core drills, post drivers, water pumps and other equipment for the global construction, demolition, utility, mining and rental industries.
